The judges are looking for a representative who is proud and comfortable with who she is an how she presents herself on stage.  Scores are based on the judges' overall impressions, and your ability to command both the judges' and the audience's attention in a poised, graceful, and professional manner.  Keep in mind that all formal wear dresses should remain age appropriate.  If there is a question in your mind if a dress is stepping over the line, be aware that one or more judges may have that same concern.  Formal Wear counts for 25% of your total pageant score.
